Fairchild Argus II (G-AIZE) at Cosford was shipped to Britain in 1943 and is believed to have been used for communications by the United States 8th Air Force. After the war it went into Civilian hands and actually appeared in the "Glen Miller Story" film. Purchased by the RAF Museum in the early 1970's it finally arrived at Cosford in 1999 following restoration by Medway Aircraft preservation Limited.
